Ed,
When one of the Ivona voices is active, what do you see under
Screen/Voice/Volume? Also, if you have the "remember settings for this
synthesizer when switching" box checked in Devices/Synthesizers, all
pitch, rate, tone, and volume settings for the active synth will be
saved when you change to something different. If you see that the volume
is still set at 9 and the checkbox just described is unchecked, then the
volume problem is likely related to the voices themselves. I recall that
there is a registry key which can be installed from Ivona to make their
control panel accessible via the keyboard. You might contact their
support for more information if you find you must make adjustments there.
