Hi,

gmail supports pop3/smtp, so outlook should be fine. I use outlook 2003 and
2007 and its fine.

Warm Regards.. Joe Lanier

Subject: Question Regarding OUtlook

Hi,

my university is about to switch everyone to gmail. I have no problem with
this because my local utility has already done this and I connect through
Outlook Express. The tech folks in my college have said that most faculty
would use the web mail version of gmail but they recognize that this
provides a lot of clutter and unnecessary material in my case and have
suggested that they provide Outlook as my access to gmail. Does the current
version of outlook work satisfactorily with WE 7.51? Does the access to
mail work in a way similar to outlook express? Any information will be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob Martin
