Jeff,
Does this freeze occur with all documents or only specific ones? What
antivirus program is on the computer? Finally, make sure your Office
2007 sets are up-to-date by going to File/Factory Settings from the
Window-Eyes control panel.
Regards,
Steve

Almost every time I open a Word document, Window-Eyes goes silent.
I can get speech back by pressing the Windows key a few times, and
pressing insert-Backslash.
While 7.5.1 is much improved over 7.5.0 in this regard, 7.2 seemed much
better and hardly ever had these type of speech losses.
I hope Window-eyes can get back to that 7.2 stability. After all-What's
the worst thing a screen reader can do?
Stop Talking!
Don't get me wrong, I love all of the new features-the scripts and the
new interface!
I just hate to loose what we had!
Using Word 2007, xp pro sp3, We 7.5.1 on a slow computer with 2 gig of
memory.
