I run AIM regularly with Window-Eyes and it seems to work fine.  You do need 
the app, though, to get it to come to 
life.  However, if you TAB to the messages, they do appear in the Browse Mode 
buffer.  With the app, messages are 
spoken automatically when they come in and you can use ALT numbers to read the 
last few messages.  Portia, which 
version of Window-Eyes are you using?  Also, you can't really expect AIM to 
tell you what is wrong with a Window-
Eyes APP to support AIM.
