I have recently had the same problem with a Satelite 584. The bad news is it is a $500 piece of hardware that connects between the satellite and the computer.
I suspect it is more profitable to sell hardware than write drivers. I also have seen a marked drop in the quality of the service these units get since VisionCue has taken it over.
