I use OmniPage 18 regularly with no trouble. The trick is to convert
from .pdf (or .tif etc.) by:
1. navigating to the .pdf file of interest.
2. right click to see the context menu.
3. Select OmniPage". This will open a submenu.
4. Select the conversion destination, e.g. Word, html, etc.
5. Wait for the conversion to finish.
Once finished, the .doc file will have the same name as the .pdf file
and be located in the same folder as the .pdf file. You will have to
proof it from inside Word as some times the default settings in
OmniPage group stuff into tables. OmniPage also leaves in the
pictures/graphics as "shapes." At least t this has been my experience
on my XP Pro sp3, 32-bit, WE 7.5.1 environment. Good luck...
