when this happens try to open the w e control panel. of course you will have to wait for all the talking to stop before you can find out where you are in the set file. then go to keyboard /other menu and check interuptibility. with me it will be set to global and off. change it back to any keys and save the set file. everything will return to normal without having to re load w e. ----- Original Message ----- From: James A. I get this also with 64-bit; I end up turning off WE and back on again. It’s the only way I know; sometimes I have to do a reboot. From: net bat Sent: September 17, 2011 12:26 To: gwm Subject: keyboard interuptability turning off. hi, w e 7.5.1,vista 32 bit. some people on the list has had this problem too. for some reason there are times when i can not stop w e from talking when i press any keys to interupt speech. several times now with windows mail the keyboard interuptibility option in the msoe.set or msoe1.set file has turned itself off. i did not make any changes to either of these set files. both settings when this happens is set to global and off. i can re load w e and the problem goes away without changing or saving the set files. but the last to times today this happened i opened the w e control panel and checked the keyboard interuptibility and it was turned off and set to global. this is not happening very often. about 3 times per week. until now i was just reloading w e to stop the problem. thanks.
