I use Studio Recorder. I just switched to Windows 7 64Bit, and there
are two very serious issues with Window-Eyes which I do need to use
for this application. In XP home and pro which I have used along
with the Studio Recorder program, when using the arrow keys, left and
right, no "ding" would issue through the speakers, which is normal
since with every other screen reader, it does not while arrowing left
or right in that program. However in Window-Eyes, and windows 7 64Bit
premium, the default "ding" sound comes roaring through. Why? Also,
since I believe Window-Eyes is trying to use the "ding" sound for
some reason, even when I turn it off it slows down the response a
tiny bit so when I am doing, (in that program) what is called
"scrubbing editing," it slows down the response time.
While editing I need to turn off Window-Eyes completely to get around
the issues.
