I don't know how to fix the problem but I think I know what is happening
here.
I have the same issue with the citi cards website.
On the Citi cards website make a payment website it sounds like what you
have on the Wal-Mart site.
When you get to that read only date box and there is the click here to
change part, when you clicked on that a little calendar popped up. It is
sort of like an over lay on the screen over top of the existing text. The
idea here is that you use the mouse to click on the date you want to change
it to. once a date is clicked on it populates the read only box.
Here in lies the problem. It is very difficult to find this calendar. I have
a little sight so that is why I can tell you what is happening here. I can
sort of see this pretty hollow looking grid pop up and getting the mouse
over to it the mouse will read the text under it and if you actually get the
mouse on a number it will speak that number. Once I hit and miss a few times
to find the number of the day I want and click I will get the populated date
I want.
I don't know what the trick is to doing this other than what I am doing. I
don't know if this is a accessibility error on the web design or just one of
those things we have to learn to get around.
I do wish that it was an edit box and I could type in the date.
not much help here but this is just my observations.
If there is a better way to handle it I would love to hear it too.

Hi. I know I have mentioned this problem making a payment to
walmart.com/creditlogin and Window-eyes 7.5.01 before. None of the
suggestions I tried to make a payment have worked. Here are the steps and
issues I am having.
I log on to www.walmart.com/creditlogin. I enter my user name and tab to
the sign in button which is a picture link. Then I land in the area where
I
enter my password. I open the list of links with insert-l and hit m for
make a payment. I down arrow to the section of radio buttons. I select
the
one that says other amount and tab to the edit box and enter the amount.
The problem I encounter whether I enter the amount or not is a read only
edit box which is the payment due date. If I use the numbpad and right
arrow past the read only edit box, I come upon a leftwards arrow and to
the
right of that are the words click here to change the payment date. If I
left click on the leftwards arrow or the letter c on click here to change
the payment date, I am merely taken back to the payment page. Using the
context menu key on either icon gives me no useful options.
Would there be any way to use the remote assistant feature without
compromising confidential information? Or, for that matter, does anybody
have an idea as to how to change the read only edit box to let's say
today's
date or a future date? Thanks.
