Hello all. I am sure this subject has come up on this list before. If anyone has a solution, I would very much appreciated.
On my Dell XPS-501 laptop running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium, all updates current, and Window-eyes 7.5.01, after I boot up the computer the Java auto updator program alerts me of an update. The UAC dialog pops up alerting me about the update requesting my permission to accept the changes on this computer. I answer yes by pressing alt-y, but the dialog disappears, and whatever program I am using regains focus. So, I think the update has been performed, only to find out that when I boot up the computer, the uac dialog comes up again. How can I be absolutely sure that the update has taken place? Mike M.
