I re-assigned the read to end hot key to the tilda (key over tab) as a
single entry andit works great.

I would recommend changing "read to end" hot key to a single key like
the scroll lock or the pause key, or even control-shift-enter works well.
control-shift-r, somehow I have found to be problematic over the years.

Hi Grant, good afternoon
thank you so much for that response. Yes, I would certainly like to
read extended passages especially when I review verse notes. It is
frustrating to go line by line. You almost forget what you just read
when you listen to the current line. It comes in fragments. I will
try to copy material into a MSWord or some such word processor. I
have talked to Lary as well. He says he would be very happy to make
adjustments if GWMicro tells him what needs to be done. Aaron from
GWMicro told me that everything should work if OnlineBible follows
Standard controls. And we the users are lost in between. Some day
the two may decide to work together on our behalf. The solution to
our problem is lost in the might-have-beens of the intentions of our
benefactors.
Would you please tell me more about your news letter?
Cheers!
Solomon.

Greetings Solomon,
I wish I was able to provide an answer for your problem. I do have
the Online Bible program version 4.10. My question is, "What do you
want to use the read to end command for?" For reading extended
passages of Scripture, I use a separate file. If wanting to read
books from the library section, you might be able to cut and paste
them into a word processor for easier read to end access.
Unfortunately, the Online Bible is not as screen reader friendly as
it was back in the DOS and earlier windows versions. In recent years
Larry Pierce has had more interaction with JAWS users and also has
wandered somewhat away from the basic guidelines of MicroSoft codes
thus making it a bit more difficult for screen readers to work with
the Online Bible.
If you hear from other WindowEyes and Online Bible users, you might
let me know what they have to say. In fact, it might be good to
create a list of users who can share tips and questions. I can
perhaps ask if others are using WE and the OLB when I send out the
Bartimaeus newsletter next time.

Subject: Read-to-End:
Is there any one out there who knows the trik to make the
Read-to-end function work in Online Bible?
I am running WindowEyes7.5.1, Windows7, and Online bible4.10
ScreenReaderVersion.
If possible, I do not wish to reinstall an earlier version of the
onlineBible. Everything works fine except the Read-to-End function.
Thanks
Solomon.
