Hi Bob,

I don't think (but we'll see if anyone from GW corrects me), that there's a
right answer.

I've found the higher the resolution, the better WE will read. I've also
found if you leave the number of colors set at their highest, this can slow
things down a little, so I usually turn the number of colors down when I
turn the resolution up.

I end up with something like 1280x1024, and 16 bit color. You can go so
high with the resolution that sighted help is unable to read the screen
because the letters get too small.

If I remember rightly, in xp you go into the control panel and choose
"display", and then you're in a tabbed dialog. I think you look for the
"appearance" tab to find the resolution and colors controls.

Unfortunately, I recall the resolution is a trackbar which doesn't read as
you change it, so you'll need to use the mouse cursor and look for a
changing text line a little below this track bar, which tells you what each
change you make results in.

There may be a GW knowledgebase article on doing this, so I'd give a look
there on the support page knowledgebase.

hth,

Chip

Running an HP lap top, XP, IE8, OE, Word 2003, WE 7.5.1.0

What should the screen resolution be for WE to display correctly and where
do I find the place to change it?
