It is the Epson Perfection 2480. I normally open the program by locating
the program on my desktop and pressing enter to open it. Alt tabbing
will get me to the program, but it says nothing, and is not really in focus.
Thanks,

Hi Melissa,
What model scanner do you have? I also run Epson scanning software and
pressing WINDOWS + D, then ALT + TAB focuses the window just fine. You
can also try going to your Task Bar, arrowing through the programs and
pressing ENTER on the Epson program.

Subject: Program not gaining focus
Recently I purchased a new computer running Windows 7. I installed the
software for my Epson scanner, and it works, accept it doesn't appear to
gain focus. It does nothing when I try to tab to the different controls.
However, if I open Windows Task Manager, select the program from the
list of running applications, and tab over to the button that says
switch, and press space, I am placed in the program and can tab through
all the controls with no problem. I did not have this issue when running
this on Window XP. This isn't a huge issue when I'm just scanning 1 or 2
things, but it gets tiring when I have lots to scan, as I have to tell
it to switch to this program after every scan. Any thoughts on how I can
get the program to gain focus without the Windows Task Manager?
Thanks,
