Hi Edward, As I write this reply to you, using the html mode of outlook 2003, I find WE will not speak any text I select, of the text which I have typed into this message; however, if I go down further into the message to the text you sent, WE will speak this text as I select it. Also, if I open notepad and paste in some text, WE will speak it there as I select it. sort of problem, but I'm not sure how to work around it. Chip
