Hello,
I am looking for a DAISY Reader I can run on my Dell XPS8300 with
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and WE 7.5.2. So far, I've tried four, AMIS,
Dorin, Victor Reader Soft, and Dolphin EasyReader (demo). They seem
to kinda work sorta, for a little while, and then they die. All of
them (except Dolphin) read DAISY 2.02 but have trouble with DAISY
3.0. Dolphin cannot even open a file as it is not possible to browse to a book.
So, friends, does anyone know of a reader that will work in the above
environment? The death of these readers may, or may not, be related
to WE since there seems to be some stability issues with focus and an
GW app called "readSearch" or some such name.
I've had a lot of trouble with Windows 7 and I'm fairly sure GWMicro
is trying to keep up with a moving target. So, maybe a 32-bit DAISY
Reader would work better? I'm hoping someone else has already trod
this road ahead of me!
