They both have their points. Personally though, the mac stuff has gotten so good that I prefer to use it exclusively. If my SMA were to run out today I could leave windows and window-eyes and never look back.
I need it for work though, so I'm happy enough that my SMA still has a fare bit to go. This machine that I'm typing on is a macbook pro. It's got a windows 7 virtual machine and a vinux virtual machine. The windows machine has window-eyes and NVDA. The only thing I'm paying extra for is window-eyes and for everyday use, I'm getting the same level of functionality out of everything else. If NVDA became the standard for windows and more of my clients were getting it, it would kill my window-eyes use. Not that I think it's a bad product. It just hasn't kept up with either the technology or the market in recent years and the pack is running away, leaving both jaws and window-eyes puffing along in the rear.
