Greetings

I have Window-Eyes running on all of our home systems. Three of which
are Windows 7 and one is XP.

I have Window-Eyes set to run during the login screens for all systems.
When my wife and children sign into their accounts, Window-Eyes does not
load for them. It only loads after login when I sign in with my accounts
or the administrator accounts.

The only time I have sound issues is when they mess with the volume
settings. An excellent work around is to have NirCMD running in system
startup. This might not help at the log in screen, but once I sign in to
one of the two accounts I would normally use, it sets the volume to the
mid point and makes sure the mute boxes are not checked.

I also have this set up here at work on the PC at my workstation. If I'm
away for a long period of time, a visitor from another city or region
might use my computer. NirCMD makes sure my sound kicks in after I log
in with my user name and password.

I place NirCMD in a folder that is accessible from all accounts. This is
especially important on Windows 7 systems. In the StartUp group I launch
the following CMD file. This is the one I use on an XP computer. For
Windows 7 I use a folder under C:\Users\Public\Software

c:\software\nircmd\nircmd.exe mutesysvolume 0
c:\software\nircmd\nircmd.exe setsysvolume 52428

Hope this helps.

Vic
