The app for autible battery is running. I don't know what the status is. I
don't think it is set al all apps. I'm not sure as I run Xp Home 32 bit.

I doubt the fact of the ap not playing sound effects has anything to do with
your keyboard layout. Chances are, the ap isn't running? Is the ap status
indicated as running in the ap manager?

A couple of people-including me-have had problems where after the upgrade to
the latest version, for some mysterious reason, the ap security status is set
to trusted aps only and those of us affected had to switch that radio buttion
back to all aps. Maybe.

  Hi!

I've noticed with Internet explorer when doing searches in Google, Window
eyes says unknown before reading the search results to me. Not sure why this
is. I am running windows xp, service pack 3, and Internet explorer 8. Also,
sorry if I brought this up before about the audible batter status application
but, should I change Window eyes to run as a laptop instead of a desktop
layout? I can read the battery status just fine but, sounds for the application
will not play.
