I too started out as a JAWS user. I too had a friend/dealer who had also started out as a JAWS user, and made the switch, and kept trying to convince me I should have a look. I finally did with the release of version 7, and the astounding scripting platform that was added on to what many people thought was already the better screen reader (and certainly from my own experience had the better support). Once I found that scripting put the power to deal with many problems back into your hands, I made the switch; and also found mailing lists where company owners, developers, and support personnel all participated to answer questions; well for me it was a completely different experience. And finally, there were payment options for those not having a big institution making the purchase for you; options which let an individual afford to purchase a screen reader. Yes, it's a great screen reader, but it's also much more than that; there are a lot of ways to measure a product, and GW comes up on top for all of them. It helps to remember all of these when we're trying to convince someone else to give it a try: it's not only just about whose product is more stable. Chip

Thanks so, so much Hi, I was a Jaws user for several years before I was introduced to Window eyes by a friend. Since that time I have been a Win Eyes user. It is much more stable that the other. And we tend to sometimes forget that when there is a problem with something. All-in-all it's a pretty damn goood screen reader Tony C From: Maheen The Country Man <mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 6:15 AM To: Tony_C <mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Bless your heart! Thanks so, so much Many thanks indeed bro, I'm honoured. I love window-eyes as I had an earlier version but didn't say it yet on the list. I sure am excited to get the newest version. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tony_C <mailto:[email protected]> To: Maheen The Country Man <mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 7:14 AM Subject: Re: Hope you don't mind me writing you, Tony Hi Maheen, We are all friends here! Nice to be writing you! I want to give it another go on the list and want everybody to forgive and forget. I have changed completely now and all is going so flawlessly. I'd love to be your friend. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tony_C <mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 7:07 AM Subject: Focus! People Good morning to all, If when a real question is ask we got as fervent responses as we do when someone joins that we don't like or have had problems with in the past. Most of our access problems could be addressed in a short time. If this guy is going to be a problem it will show very soon. As for me I want to know why Win eyes is still not working well with WLM. After a full year I am still not able to read what I have written when replying to a message. WHY? I've sent screen shots done the Win eyes diagnostics and still haven't gotten an answer to my problem. I don't know what email program GW is using but since Windows is the OS doesn't it make sense to support the Microsoft email program completely?
