Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately apparently NVDA doesn't do it either. Neither does System Access, apparently it's due to some really weird code on Cisco's website. Apparently the flash object needs to be directly clicked with the mouse, and moving the mouse pointer to it with NVDA doesn't work nor does using the virtual mouse with System Access. I just may have to put Jaws in to a virtual machine or something. Consequently I was adding some new features to my podcast site http://www.nerdball.net/ and Window Eyes doesn't recognize the Disqus commenting system, or the Share this buttons either. I haven't tried it with NVDA, but I know System Access does work with these plugins, and I'm not much of a web programmer so I wouldn't know the slightest thing about how to customize them to work with WE, or if I can even make that happen even if I knew how. When I say they don't work with WE, I mean that I can't find them on the page at all with WE and it makes me wonder what we're not seeing on other pages and just don't know that we're missing. I'm REALLY looking forward to WE8 and these web changes that are coming. I sincerely hope that a lot of these issues will be addressed, as I don't want to have to obviously purchase an update to Jaws just for these issues, nor switch screen readers all the time to mark student exams or check potential comments or respond to posts and such on my website. This is not intended to be negative, believe me I do like Window Eyes a lot, but I really hope that some issues like these will be addressed soon.

When you use nvda, press the letter o and then you will hear imbedded
content, press tne enter key and you can navagate the flash content just
fine.
To get out of this mode do insert space bar.

Subject: Clicking flash objects with WE?

      Hello all,
Using WE 7.5.4 with IE 8 and Firefox 11.
I am a voulenteer instructor for the Cisco Acadomy for the
Visually Impaired in the IT Essentials class. As part of this, we have
to use Cisco's rather interesting website with their online course
matterials and such.
With this there is a grade book that shows scores on exams, each
exam appears in IE 8 with WE like this:
Begin Flash
Skills Review Exam
End Flash
Begin Flash
Chapter 1 Exam
End Flash
And so on.
In Firefox the flash objects don't show at all with browse mode or with
the mouse pointer.
Apparently one is supposed to click on the content in these flash
objects to activate the details for the score for each exam.
The other instructors are telling me that this cannot be accomplished
with WE, that only Jaws can do it, but that perhaps as I am a full time
user of WE I can find a way to do it that they don't know about.
With Jaws they maximize the IE window, route jaws to pc and then can
click the objects with the mouse, but when I try this with WE and it's
mouse pointer I can't find anything to click on. Perhaps I'm doing it
wrong, and if so can anyone comment on anything I might need to change
in settings Etc to make flash objects visible to WE's mouse pointer? I
am insuring that when I do the mouse pointer that I insure the flash
objects are on screen in the virtual cursor, then I do an insert plus,
top left of screen and come down with the mouse pointer.
Please note that yes I have tried disabling browse mode and tabbing
through the page, but these objects are not available for selection with
tab.
Thanks for any help. I don't really want to have to install Jaws
on here, as it just results in more unneeded services and video
intercept drivers and such.
