Hi all,
I just figured out from an article I read on the internet how to create new
libraries in Windows 7, and the same thing will most definitely apply to me in
Windows 8 for the file history feature which I learned from the building
Windows 8 blog, that it only backs up files located on the system
drive/partition by default, but I follow the best practice (which I would
recommend to anyone) of not saving my documents and music and other things on
the system drive, instead using a dedicated data partition. The problem here
is that those files would not be created in a library by default, so the only
way I have discovered to create a library accessibly is to enter Windows
Explorer, back out of the computer folder, click libraries, right-click new,
and then click library. Then I have to enter the name, and in a separate step,
I have to right-click that library, and then go to properties, include a
folder. Is there a quicker way of doing this using Window-Eyes? The article I
read seemed like the steps were much fewer. Maybe I'm missing the F6 toggle in
Windows Explorer? And as I write this, I see that the F6 toggle brings you
sort of around the horn, and you'll eventually hit the libraries folder under
recent places, but what if I hadn't taken the long route down there before?
Well anyway, any feedback is much appreciated.
