Hi, did any one get back to you on this? Just out of curiosity, are you actually using the winamp library to manage your mp3's?
The way I used to make playlists in winamp goes roughly like this. Encue all the files you want to playlist. In the winamp window press alt P for the playlist editor. Press control S to save the playlist. Choose the filename and location. Save. No library required. Sorry I couldn't be more detailed. It's been a long long time since I've even thought of winamp.
