The number sign, a.k.a., the sharp, needs to go into the character dictionary. For it to be pronounced, you must have probably mathematics set to dictionary only. I have so far gotten SQL to be pronounced as Sequel by using the Exception dictionary, yet doing the same with C# (to be CSharp), doesn't seem to do the trick; the entry is there, just not effective.
