I've just installed WE 7.5 on an XP system, after un installing WE 5.5.
All went well and I've adjusted most settings to my liking now.
There is an issue regarding dialog boxes that I can't find a fix for,
so hope someone can help.
An example of this issue is as follows...
I open notepad and enter some text into the main page.
If I use my arrow keys to move around that text I've entered, there's
no problem at all. The notepad set file is properly associated and
everything works.
OK, so now I open the file menu and select the save as item.
I'm placed in the filename dialog as expected.
But if I paste a few of the words from the file I've just created as
a file name, or even if I type in characters to name that file, if I
try to use my arrow keys to move through that text, each arrow key
press only gives me that bong sound, but doesn't read any text.
If I save the file, the text, as originally entered in that dialog
does seem to work. But is there some way I can have the editing
functions for that dialog box that I have in the body of the notepad
file itself?
BTW, the notepad set file operates in the notepad itself and is
associated as it should be. If I open the WE control panel while in
the save as dialog however, although the notepad set file is still
open, there is no set file association specified. Is this normal?
Any help or suggestion with this would be greatly appreciated.
