shannon and all,

This is one of the less accessible webinar platforms. In addition, I've often
had it lock up a pretty standard installation of Windows XP on a relatively new
(albeit modestly powered) PC.

Of the mainstream platforms, Adobe Connect is more accessible, although not
ideal. Don't expect Power Points or other visual content to be accessible, even
on Adobe Connect, but at least you ought to be able to navigate the platform
with a screen reader. I also believe you can leave and read comments, but I've
yet to verify this. You may want to encourage the organization that offers the
training to use a more accessible platform like Adobe Connect.

The platform Elluminate is touted as being accessible, but my experience is
that its access is poor. It's cumbersome and inefficient to work with.

Other platforms targeted specifically for accessibility include Talking
Communities and Accessible Event. Both are accessible. Talking Communities uses
a tiny plug in on the user's computer that's very easy for most users to
manage. Accessible Event seems more sophisticated and specifically addresses
operation in parallel with other platforms.

Our organization now uses Talking Communities. We're planning an upgrade and
I've been looking at options for us, so may know a little more about the
landscape in a few weeks.

Subject: go to meeting Webinar

Good morning,

Has anyone on the list had any success with the interface of Go to meeting?
Every now and again the accounting program we use has training Webinars useing
go to meeting.
The Webinar is pretty easy to join with the link provided but there is a
screen that will pop up that you have to use the mouse to click on to allow the
connection. that will not speek. I can't seam to give this window any focus. It
takes eyes to click the Yes button. then you can hear the audio of the
presenter but if you have questions you are supposed to type them into a chat
like box that is not findable with the tab key.

Has any one used this with any success?Any tips or tricks?

I am useing xp pro we 7.5.4 and IE 8

Thanks
Shannon
