Hi,

I'm trying to help a deaf-blind woman from another list learn how to use the
braille hot keys with her braille displays, a U2 and, in the future, a
BrailleEdge. She has asked me whether the keyboard's layout makes a difference
when you create new braille hot keys. She prefers the laptop layout to the
default layout. I answered it depends on how you choose to add the key. If you
want the command to be a keystroke or custom keystroke, changing layouts might
make a difference. But if you hunted through the 320 WE hot keys, and used a
command it might not matter.

I also mentioned the braille hot keys for the U2 are not the same as for those
for the Braille Edge.

I would appreciate anyone's assistance in helping her. If you have WE and a
Sense product, please join the HIMS list and help me out!

Terri, Amateur Radio Call Sign KF6CA.
