Hi Dave,

I just tested this operation on my Windows 7 64-bit system running
Window-Eyes 7.5.4.1, Dragon Professional 11.5 and Office 2010. After the
Dragon spell window closes, the spelled text was inserted into the document
and then Window-Eyes spoke the same information you normally hear when a
Microsoft Word window is activated. For example, Document 3 - Microsoft
Word, Style Normal, Column 1 of 1, Page 1 of 1, Print Layout. On my system,
Window-Eyes did not read any of document text when focus returned to
Microsoft Word. Please check which set file is active when you are getting
this extra speech from Window-Eyes. If the set file is anything other than
the Word set file (i.e. Word2007.set or Word2010.set), this might be a
possible cause of the extra speech.

Thanks,

Marc Solomon

Subject: interaction with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Window-Eyes in a
document

Hi list,

I am curious if anyone has run across this slight annoyance involving Dragon
NaturallySpeaking and Window-Eyes when dictating in a document.

When I correct a word, usually spelling the word properly, after the
spelling window closes, Window-Eyes has this habit of reading from the
beginning of the document. I realize that all I have to do is press the
control key to silence speech, but it would be nice if Window-Eyes and say
anything and just returned to the document. I'm not sure if there's any way
to change the verbosity to fix this issue. You may say that I am nitpicky
but it is also hard to concentrate on what your last thought was when they
screen reader is reading all the way from the top of the document and you
might be on a completely different subject from where you started in the
beginning. Does this make sense? Perhaps this issue is fixed in the upcoming
release of Dragon 12?
