That is how Windows-D is designed to work. It's essentially a toggle.
For example, while you're in a program hit Windows-D and you'll go to
the desktop. Hit it again and you'll return to the program you were in.

When I reboot or when the computer first comes on in the morning it
doesn't land on desktop, it just says windoweyes. If I try to go back
to desktop after having been on the web or something like that, the
same thing happens again, I just get silence. However in either case
if I press alt tab, it focuses back on the desktop. I guess my
question is what's causing it not to go to desktop automatically, and
what I can do to fix it.
