As much as I liked things about Firefox, I had too many crashes and couldn't figure out how to stop it so I've stayed with Internet Exploder and I have much less trouble with it dispite the fact that it may not be as safe a browser as FF.

This is actually a combination of Flash crashing inside a Firefox plugin container window which, regretably, we have no control over. We are presently waiting on a fix from Mozilla as the core problem appears to be on their end. Also note that this instability is brought out by any screen reader requesting accessibility data from a Flash-based control in Firefox. Window-Eyes just happens to query the control sooner than some other AT, hence the more frequent crashes.

Regards,
Steve

Hmmm! I use VLC all the time and like it.
No problem with Youtube really either.
Could it be your connection to the WWW isn't consistent?
When I'm at my favorite coffee shop sometimes the Youtube vids stop and
restart but at home it's fine.

Hi list, can anyone recommend a good player for youtube videos?
Firefox seems to freeze up window-eyes and I'm not too fond of IE, if
I recall it does the same thing. I have installed vlc media player but
it seems to have stopped working for some strange reason, no idea
what's up with that, plus it's not too user friendly. I've tried
several opensource projects and they are either browser-based or
written in java or qt. If media player classic is still around, has
anyone developed a way for it to play youtube vids? I've also tried
looking for a solution for winamp, no luck there despite the fact that
there is an in-flv.dll plugin. As far as opensource, I've tried U M
player, and audio tube, and others that I can't remember right now,
sorry that's..not very helpful.

Anyway, figured I'd ask here, thoughts?
