Actually, a 5 MP camera is more than adequate for use with text. It's
like DPI. It may be more important for photos, but an unnecessary
expense for text.

Subject: question about new reading machine

I thought the announcement about GW Micro's new stand-alone reading
product was interesting -- I do have a couple of questions.

a 5MP camera seems like a poor quality camera to get really good
scanning results. Why was a camera with a higher MP amount chosen?

Also, what OCR technology is being used to do the actual OCR processing?

Thanks.
