I have worked for Citibank for almost 31 years.
During the last few, as employees, we have had to deal with an application
for time and attendance which is on line.
I have been able to figure most of it out; but, there are some flaws.
First, when I click on one of the parts of the application, it used to make
an audible click; everything else with it still does but this particular
piece doesn't so it is enabled but I do not know that because the window has
opened visually.
Second, when I try to maximize the screen, it freezes up sometimes but
doesn't at other times.
Third, and most annoying, is a problem with a combo box.
When I am editing my time sheet and want to insert a partial day absence, I
enter on a combo box on the correct day.
I am supposed to be able to arrow down in the combo box and find partial day
absence.
But, when I attempt it, it takes off and lands on an entirely different
selection without my having done anything.
I have to cancel out, go back to the combo box, and try again to arrow down
to my selection. 90 per cent of the time it throws me out to that other
place. I have tried using left mouse button when on the combo box and that
does work occasionally; but most of the time when I left mouse it throws me
out as well.
After working with IT they have finally decided that this time and attendance
thing is just not accessible and that is the way it is: end of story.
So, do you have any ideas why combo boxes present problems for Window-eyes.
Do you have any thoughts or ideas about what things might be at play here
causing these difficulties?
