And be it that I don't use FireFox the way I heard about this was on a
techie podcast. The host is sighted and was bemoaning the problem and
having to go back to using IE until it got fixed. So it happens even if
a screen-reader isn't even on the system.

If you're using a Flash blocker, then it stands to reason that you won't
have crashes in Flash, no? <grin> But, I agree that using a Flash
blocker is a good idea, unless you find yourself needing access to Flash
content.
But, as mentioned, this is a Firefox problem that both Adobe and Mozilla
have confirmed. Refer to

information. Window-Eyes is making a perfectly valid call to Firefox
that they're not handling. The same problem can be duplicated using
Microsoft MSAA utilities, without Window-Eyes running.
The fact that it does not occur with other screen readers doesn't really
tell anyone anything, because they all do things differently.
