Hi GW staff,
Thank you for the vast improvements made to Windows Explorer. Positive
things I have noticed with Beta2:
First, if I press a letter, I hear the name of a file beginning with
that letter and any subsequent information spoken that I would normally
hear when arrowing down or up. It no longer says x of 25.
Next, when I select files or folders, each name is spoken. If I do not
move to another file/folder, only the information for that file/folder
is spoken. Formerly, I had a problem where all files would be spoken,
making it difficult to figure out which files had actually been
selected. This change is very helpful.
Third, and I accidentally stumbled on this and really like it, is that
formerly, when files were selected, I would go to the bottom of the
mouse screen to see how many files were selected by arrowing up once.
Now, when I get to the bottom of the screen, all files selected are now
spoken. If I wish to hear this information, I simply wait until WE
stops speaking and arrow up once to hear the number of files/folders
selected. If I do not wish to hear this information, all I need do is
arrow up and WE will speak the number of files selected, as I would expect.
Thank you for the improvements. I find them to be a much more pleasant
way to select files.
