As for your question on Word, bob? I haven't had to deal with this in a
long time, but I think if you just open the document and then Alt-F,
File, A, Save as, and save the document, it will no longer be in
protected mode.

Hi, Folks. When reading some pdf files, I get the message about taking
Windows out of protected mode so as to more easily read some documents.
Can anyone explain what that means, and where to I change this mode?
