Hi all. When such a problem arises as this one, a list member pointed out
that the insert key layout app was enabled. In case anyone else has this
problem, press control-alt-0 to disable the app. In other words, there'll
be no need to buy another keyboard, grin. The headache has gone away. All
is well. Yes, I know, there are helpful list members willing to provide
helpful suggestions, but again, all is well. Thanks to those who have
provided suggestions so far.

I sent a message to tech support suggesting that the insert key layout app
be disabled by default to save the hassle of switching out keyboards to
resolve such a minor issue. Hey, forgive me, but my finger dexterity in
tight spaces isn't the greatest, smile.
