Hello all
I have just got a new Lenovo laptop running Windows 7 (64 bit). I have
installed the latest beta of Window-Eyes 8 on it and all is working
fine, except that the laptop would not install Windows updates. It told
me there are some 65 updates, it downloaded them and installed them and
requested a reboot. After the reboot it came up with a message after a
while saying that it was unable to install the Windows update and had to
roll back again. I went through this cycle an untolled number of times.
Eventually I uninstalled Window-Eyes and used NVDA and tried the updates
again and (would you believe it?) they installed perfectly. I have now
reinstalled Window-Eyes, but really, I cannot uninstall Window-Eyes
every time there are Windows updates and reinstall it again after the
updates. I may add that the Window-Eyes version is Everlock protected. I
don't know if that might have anything to do with this. I am not
experiencing this problem on my 32 bit Windows 7 desktop.
Is this a known issue and is there some more convenient work-around
other than uninstalling and reinstalling Window-Eyes?
I am hoping for some good advice from the GW Micro sages.
Kind regards
Christo
