turn off the enhanced insert or windows apps. i don't remember which one. then the read to end hot key in the hot key menu can be defined and saved. with the app running the hot key will stay undefined and changes will not be saved.

It does work but not on the first try. For example here in outlook 2010 in an email message not opened in the virtual browser. So it is rendered in word pressing the ctrl shift R does nothing the first key press it has to be done two times to get a read to end started. It started in the beta using FX 15. When I'd hit shift control R, all I'd hear was a ding. Some time it works, but once you get the first ding, read to end will continually ding there after.
