Hi. Ok, I can imagine what some of you must be thinking because this problem has come up before.
I am hearing punctuation marks being spoken too much for my ears. You know, Window dash Eyes, e dash mail. Slash slash, etc. I have been hearing the punctuation marks spoken after installing Window-eyes 8.0.0 from a thumb drive. I had to copy the cd to it because my dvd/rw drive appears to have failed. I thought that setting all punctuation to off globally in the screen mode would correct this issue. What did I do wrong? . I am running Window-eyes 8.0.0 under Windows 8. I have also noticed that since installing Window-eyes 8.0.0 under Windows 8 that the start menu key no longer speaks. Can anybody provide a suggestion as to how to get the start menu key to speak again? It used to speak with the previous beta which I still have in my executables. I hope I don't have to reinstall the beta again to get the spoken start menu key back. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
