I called Eset this morning.  It seems they are aware of the problem but
don't yet know why it's happening.  They suggested I did a complete
uninstall of Nod and then download a new copy from the website and then
re-install and reboot the computer.  So I've done that and, touching wood
very very hard, it hasn't happened yet.  It seems that all the reports
they've had are on Windows Seven so far.  If it happens after the
re-install, I've to call them back so will keep you up to date with what
happens.
