Hi Rob, I am using Becky for years now and like it. Thread mode must be set per folder for as far as I have seen. It works as it works. Not allways all messages are in the thread. Sometimes you will find other messages of that thread somewhere else in the list.
The number of unred messages is indead not spoken by Window-Eyes. In the past it was, but with WE version 7 or 7.5 they did something with listviews and sinds then, it is not longer spoken. You can do two things: Right of the status bar, it will say: unred n total n You can make a window to speak that when you press an hotkey or a hyper active window, so it will be spoken when the total number changes. Also handy: when pressing space when in a folder, you will go to the first unred message. And when in the list of folders and pressing space, you will go to the first folder with an unred message. If you have a brailledisplay, you can set it to line mode when in the list of folders. In braille is shown, how many unred messages are in a folder. I think the editfield is slow because of Window-Eyes. Play with the cursor delay. And have you set it for use with Window-Eyes? This was posted by someone a few years ago. I thought Chris / G. To configure Becky for use with Window-eyes do the following: Go to the Tools menu and select "General Setup." Then select the message view tab. Make sure the "operate four way button by the cursor key option is unchecked. The next item you would want to change is to remove the pointer. If you fail to do this the first character of each line will be cut off. 1. Go to the tools menu and select General setup. 2. Select the editor tab. 3. Press ALT-Y to move to the "display line pointer" check box and uncheck it. Here is a tip to display the CC and BCC fields in tab order. 1. Write a new message. 2. In the TO: field press CONTROL down arrow once, this enables the CC field. Press it again to enable the BCC field. If you decide you use the CC field but not the BCC field, just press CONTROL up arrow this will remove the BCC field from the tab order. To remove the CC field from the tab order press CONTROL up arrow again. The state of the CC and BCC fields in the tab order is saved between sessions.
