The below list of entries, might fix most cases. Let me know, if there still
exists conflicts. The list might be useful for other similar situations. I will
consider implementing it with the shipping dictionaries of up-coming versions.
Thanks for any feedback.

David

--- Pste the following lines into your Dictionary file:
; We want the letter g replaced with the word gram, but only in cases when it
occurs in conjunction with a number.
; Yet, we don't want it replaced, in cases where it is part of a word - i.e, in
a phrase like: "buy 5 get 2 for free".
; Firstly, we therefore replace all cases where a number is followed by a
stand-alone g:
0 g =0 gram,
1 g =1 gram,
2 g =2 gram,
3 g =3 gram,
4 g =4 gram,
5 g =5 gram,
6 g =6 gram,
7 g =7 gram,
8 g =8 gram,
9 g =9 gram,
; Next, we want a similar replacement, in cases where a number is followed by a
g, with a comma immediately thereafter.
; We do this, with the following ten entries:
0 g,=0 gram,
1 g,=1 gram,
2 g,=2 gram,
3 g,=3 gram,
4 g,=4 gram,
5 g,=5 gram,
6 g,=6 gram,
7 g,=7 gram,
8 g,=8 gram,
9 g,=9 gram,

; Here follows a set of entries, that will take care of some notations for
packaging and amounts:
/kg=, per kilogram
/lb=, per pound
 ea.= each.
 kg= kilogram
 m L= milliliter
 pkg.= package
 pk.= Pack.

  Subject: how to make letter g say grams

  Hi:

  I have been trying to have the letter g say grams

  It is because on the web page that has my grocery store give a list of sale
items.

  I have opened the extenged dictionary and have had no success in this task.

  I have tried with a space before the letter and a space after, no luck.

  Perhaps it cannot be done or what is my problem, of course, other then my
brain.

  Don
