That sounds like it's a problem in the app itself and not WE.

Running Win 7 64 bit and the latest version of Thunderbird and the
TBEnhanced app with WE 8.2.
The Thunderbird Enhanced app crashed WE on my system with 8.1 and
continues to do so with WE 8.2.  I have sent in at least seven WE
generated error reports on this matter.  Uninstall the TBEnhanced app
and problems goes away.  Would like the ability to run the app.
