Hi all,
Thanks to Chris's post, we have our mouse back in Internet Explorer and
Mozilla FireFox. This assumes that I'm right here.
Chris's description of how to do this is below, and applies to FireFox.
For IE 10, one goes to the Tools menu, up arrow to Internet Options, and
choose the Advanced tab. In the tree view, up arrow to the first item in
the tree view, named "Accelerated graphics." Expand this item, and
highlight "Use software rendering rather than GPU rendering." Use the
spacebar to turn the item "On, checked," and then tab to Ok and press it.
To use this effectively, one must use the WE browse keys to make visible
the region of the window you want to access with the mouse, and then
route the mouse pointer to the browse cursor. One thing I did notice is
that your mouse doesn't get access to more than a word or so, but at
least you get something.
I hope this really works for everyone, as it does for me.
Thanks again a ton to Chris!
Enjoy,
Rod

I think this can be brought back by disabling hardware acceleration in

Does anyone know what the last version was that permitted reading
with the mouse keys? Also, are there any plans to have this ability
returned in future WE updates for use in IE and Firefox?

Hi. At this time 19.2 is probably the best version to use. You will
need to turn FF updates off if you want to stay at 19.2.

Greetings,
I’d like to try Firefox. What version works best with Window-eyes 8.2
and where can it be downloaded?
Thanks,
George
