Martha,

I do not know if you have this figured out, the one response that I read on
the list wouldn't work with in out look 2010. Below is how to create a
folder. and to move an e mail to a folder the hot key is control-shift-v.

Open outlook, right click on your mailbox, then choose properties, then
click on

folder size button. You will see a list of

folders and their corresponding size. These are the items that are going
against

your quota. To reduce the size of your

Mailbox, delete items you no longer need or move them to a personal folder.
Look

specifically at the sent items and

deleted items folders. You can empty your deleted items, by right clicking
on the

deleted items folder and choose

empty.

How to create Personal Folders in Outlook 2010

Step 1: Open Outlook, click on the Home Tab, then click on new items, more
items,

outlook data file.

Step 2: Next, you will need to name the file- you will see My Outlook Data
File(1).pst

highlighted- give the file any name

you want (or you can leave the default name) and then click ok.

Your personal folder will be created and you can find it in the folder list
on the

left side of your outlook screen. Personal

folders are listed at the bottom somewhere below sent items.

Once you have created your personal folder you can begin to move the emails
from

your inbox to your personal folder.

This will free up space on the email server so that you will not be
over the limit.

To move emails you can simply drag and drop them or right click on any email
or folder

and choose "move" and you will

be prompted as to where you want to move them.

Subject: Outlook 2010 - creating folders and moving emails to folders

Hi.

Can anyone tell me how to create a new folder in Outlook 2010?

And, how can I move an email to a folder?

Thanks!
