I tried it again on a new document and it worked fine; so I looked at the text where it did not work. That text has a header 2 style applied. If you can't duplicate, I'll forward you the word doc. I'm using Word 2010 (32-bit) and WE 8.2 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. The first press clearly has the initial letter and the second press spells it again clearly speaking the first letter and the third press clearly speaks the first letter phonetically. So there must be more going on than just saying this is always broke. I can not duplicate the problem.
