One thing you can do is try a site called Ninite.com

It installs programs without the need for those installers that like to add extra junk like toolbars, free offers and even other trial versions of other programs.

http://www.ninite.com
On the first page that comes up you'll see a number of programs with corresponding check boxes. iTunes is one of the programs you can get from this site, so check the appropriate box for iTunes, and then press the letter b which jumps you to the get installer button. Press the space bar on that. On the next page you'll see a confirmation that yes, you do want to download iTunes. Just below that bit of text you'll see a download link for the Ninite installer for iTunes.

You'll want to make sure you memorize where this file is on your pc. Next time an update comes out for iTunes, just run that very same installer you had before, and ninite will download and install the latest version, with no intervention from you at all.

When it's done you'll be presented with a close button. Press that and you can run your new version of iTunes.

I hope this helps.

Well I thought I’d gt clever so I uninstalled Itunes and tried to install an earlier version. Unfortunately it’s the 32-bit version and it wouldn’t install. I tried downloading Itunes from apple.com and the program went somewhere but I can’t find it. I’ve used the Search function in the start menu (I’m using windows-7). Can anyone tell me where to get the 10.5 or 11-version of the 64-bit version of Itunes or how to find the damned file?

Thanks

John
