Good to hear, I am not on my own. Thought it was my Windows8 that was going crazy. What I do experience, is that certain sounds work, others don't. And I have a feeling, some of the sounds work now and then, but haven't worked long enough on the computer to confirm that last statement. I did go to the Sound screen, and arrowed down to Window-Eyes, and went through the settings there, everything seems to be OK. But not always working. And some of my system sounds, don't work as expected either. Is that what you are experiencing as well?

Now that's interesting. You're not by any chance running Windows 8, are you? I have had the same thing happen on my Dell Latitude E6530; I put in a sound scheme with sounds for almost every system event (most of them are of a Windows 98 nature), it worked for quite a while and now my sounds haven't loaded for weeks. This includes Window-Eyes sounds; I've not touched anything to make them stop loading to my knowledge.

Subject: question about sounds

Hi Gang,

For some reason I lost a lot of my sounds, like log off, hardware connect and disconnect and also the sound ig get when clicking on an edit box. I did go into sounds and got some of them back but didn't find the sound for entering or exiting an edit box which sounded kind of like a tongue click. Is that a windoweyes sound and where might I find it.
Thanks.
