Or to restore: start with a bootable cd. It starts with NVDA and will
have speech.

I am using Drivesnapshot myself.
With Snapshot, you can make an image of your c-drive. When you want to
restore, you can choose in windows to restore.
The restore is done after a reboot. After the restore is done, the
system will boot again and you have your earlier made image.

Or if windows is no longer booting, you can use the bootdisk. You can
burn it to cd or dvd, but you can also make a bootable usb with it if
you have the software for it. Poweriso for example, but there  is more
software to  do this.
