Hi Alan,

You can configure Window-Eyes to not speak tooltips by going under Verbosity
and Other in the Settings tree view found in the Window-Eyes control panel.
Once you have selected this node from the Settings tree view, press F6 and
then Tab until you reach the Speak Tooltips combo box and set it to off.
Please note that this will prevent Window-Eyes from speaking all tool tips
not just the ones being generated by your wireless adapter utility. A
better approach would be to learn what the messages are telling you and
finding a way to correct the problem or disable the messages through the
wireless adapter utility. Good luck.

Regards,
Marc

For some reason we 8.2 is continually reading a pop up from the

task bar
announcing my wifi adapter name. I installed a new router and usb wifi
adapter 2 weeks ago and within the lasr 3 days these pop up
announcements started.

Is there a setting that I can change to shut we up?
