Hi Jed,
This sounds like an HTML email and the author probably used a table structure to format the content of the message. As the recipient, you have little control over the content in email messages. Often times, you will find a link at the top of complex HTML messages that says click here to view this message in your browser. Doing so will open up a webpage in your web browser with the same content as the mail and might present the information in a way that is easier to navigate and access. In addition, HTML messages can often include pictures and sound. Sometimes these pictures or sounds are not included in the message itself but are instead downloaded from a Web server when the e-mail message is opened or previewed. To help protect your privacy and security, Outlook is configured by default to not automatically download pictures and other content from the Internet when you open a message. If the author used an HTML table with pictures as the primary content and did not include any text, the email might present itself just as you described. Here is a link to an article from Microsoft that has more details and discussed how to enable this type of email content: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/block-or-unblock-automatic-pi cture-downloads-in-email-messages-HP010355038.aspx. I hope you find this information helpful. Regards, Marc From: "Jed Barton" <[email protected]> Subject: strange looking messages in outlook 2010 Date:Tue, Aug 27, 2013 7:47:13 am Hey guys, I get some messages that I receive, where I see absolutely no text. I get some weird stuff in there like it'll say leaving table 1.3.2 shape in line object this and that. Any way to get rid of all that nonsense? I could care less what table I'm in. Any dieas?
